This summer Webster Presbyterian Church will be transformed into a bubbling science lab during Power Lab Vacation Bible School (VBS) June 8-12.
"This exciting VBS program will teach Children about God's love and how they can use it to help others," said Nina Moede, VBS director. "Kids in our community will discover that Jesus gives us the power!" Some of the ways that the children will learn of God's amazing power is through Daily Challenges, Bible verses and fun science experiments. They will learn about being thankful, helping others, being brave, loving Jesus and telling others about His amazing love.
Children, ages four years old through senior high school, and adults will participate in VBS activities at the church. For children under age four, child care is available at no cost. "Children, youth and adults will all learn how much God loves them," said Nina.
With the science theme, the church is planning to attract budding scientists for fun and engaging activities that include daily "Bible Blasts," edible experiments, mission projects, storytelling, drama, games, songs and crafts. Youth and adults will learn and help in this fast-paced, exciting atmosphere that uses hands-on discovery. Everyone will be encouraged to explore, ask questions and find different ways to connect to God. "Come join us as we explore together God's awesome Power," said Nina.
Vacation Bible School lasts from 6:15 to 8:20 p.m. and will be held on the church campus at 201 W. NASA Parkway, Webster. Dinner also will be served daily starting at 5:30 p.m. The cost for dinner is $4 per adult, $2 per child with a family cap of $12.
