Adventures in Worship

This summer will be an exciting time at WPC as we discover Adventures in Worship. Beginning June 13 - August 1, we will come together for one worship service at 10:00 A.M. each Sunday. Together we will worship God our Creator, honor Jesus Christ our Lord and celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit as a community of faith. Each Sunday you will have the opportunity to explore the reality of God in wonderful ways. Come with open hearts and minds as we journey together in this summer adventure. The Adventure begins with Sunday School for all ages at 8:45, followed by Worship at 10:00. Wholy Grounds coffee fellowship will be available following worship.

Worship begins with God for it is God who calls us into being as a community of faith and it is God who gathers us together for worship. Worship is central to the life of Webster Presbyterian. Indeed, worship is at its very heart. All that we are and all that we do is rooted in the time we spend together in worship. We come together as a worshiping community to celebrate our Risen Lord. In praise, in prayer, in scriptures read and proclaimed, in the sharing of Holy Communion, worship moves us from hearing the Word of God to our rising to do it.

Children are always welcome in worship. Age appropriate books are prepared weekly for our children to use during the service. At both worship services, there is a special Children’s Time. Children who are not yet comfortable sitting through an adult church service can leave following the Children’s Time for G.I.G.L. (Growing in God’s Love), a special time in the Education Wing featuring songs, stories, games, and a light snack. Nursery care is available in the education wing as well.

Special opportunities for worship are offered during the Advent and Lenten seasons. We invite you to worship with us and experience God’s welcoming presence amid the warmth of WPC’s Christian fellowship.
