Junior High Fridge Notes for August 2010
Sunday School classes are offered that seek to have our youth engage God's word in the Bible, develop their understanding of God's guidance, and then apply that message to their lives.
PYC, Presbyterian Youth Connection, is a weekly time for fellowship and service that typically meets on Sunday evenings, though days and times may change based on the planned activity. Monthly newsletters are posted here and e-mailed to all Jr. Highs and Sr. Highs with details about the plans for upcoming events. PYC is an opportunity to build relationshiops in faith and share with peers in the joy and work of this church family.
A Confirmation Class is offered for youth in 8th grade and up each Spring, from January through May. The purpose is to prepare young people as they consider decisions about their own affirmation of faith and church membership.
There are many other programs and opportunities at WPC for youth - mid-week gatherings on Wednesdays, youth retreats and Presbytery Conclaves, summer trips for mission and growth, concerts, and more.
